DSS dismisses Marilyn Ogar

THE Department of State Services (DSS) has sacked its former
spokesperson, Ms Marilyn Ogar, New Telegraph is reporting.
According to the national daily, the secret service former

spokesperson’s fate may not be unconnected with her role in the last administration and the run-up to the 2015 election.
Ogar had been accused of alleged partisanship in the build-up
to the general elections.
Severally, she addressed press conferences, which seemingly
gave her away as the “defacto” spokesperson of the then ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
A source told the newspaper that the development was largely

responsible for her demotion from the rank of Assistant Director.
She was also said to have been pushed out following the
weighty allegation that she was awarded multimillion naira contract to lift kerosene.
